Children's Privacy Notice

Version 1.0 · Updated 25 October 2026 · Effective 25 October 2026

The user of CoughCare is a parent; the person being recorded is a child. This notice forms part of the Privacy Policy and explains how we handle the personal information of children under 14.

1. Scope

2. What we collect

We do not collect ID documents, facial or voice-print biometrics, location history, contacts, photos or videos, and we do not identify a child by their voice.

3. How guardian consent is obtained

4. How we use it

We never use children's data for advertising or personalised recommendations, build non-health-related profiles, sell or exchange it, or train unrelated models on a child's audio.

5. Storage and retention

6. Sharing

7. Guardian rights

To protect the child, we may ask for minimal verification information, which is deleted once verification is complete.

8. How we protect it

9. If consent is refused

Without consent we cannot collect cough records or clips, so the core functions cannot be provided. You may simply not use the service; that does not affect your use of other products.
